Humans have feelings, that's why we cry or smile in our lives.
I've been feeling a bit cranky lately...it's just something that I'm going through or everyone of us are going through in certain extent of our lives. People calls it a "phase shift" or might be something else.

We feel, we think, we function as a human being.
We certainly age and thus losing people whom we love most...life is a cycle indeed whether you realize it or not it most certain is a merry go round.

I really like the article which my blog-mate posted recently today :)

Deja Vu
Hi peeps,
Have you guys been through something lately that's been bugging you all day and night?
I mean it's like this feeling you have, following me? I mean this feeling which you had been gone through somewhere, someplace in some other time...well obviously it's what you people might call it as 'deja vu' ... How do you put it in words...

It's something you might felt it but didn't quite notice it was there.
It's like ok, for instance ... you still remember eating ice cream when you were eight years old? Ok, how remembering the feeling and the lust while you were eating that bloody ice-cream? (Excuse me)

Ok, now imagine having that same moment now but in another time zone, another place, and sure a bit more older . Are you guys getting me here?

I'm sure some of you might say "that's a bloody deja vu, damn it" haha... okok...
For me it's like wondering what the hell is it I'm suppose to be doing, or was there something I missed out just now?

It happens every few years and I still can figure out what it is I missed ...
was it a "feeling", "something", "a touch", "a taste" or whatever it is I really hope it comes back to me...

TIME

Hmmm ... was almost at home the whole day, looking for a clinic which we hope might still be open during this festive season... it's the monsoon season, it really rains bad in KL, traffic is another issue...what else can be worst? haha... when to meet up with my x girl friend and an old chap of mine, careen and bendy. LONDON (Reuters) -
The ability of zebrafish to regenerate
damaged retinas has given scientists a clue about restoring
human vision and could lead to an experimental treatment for
blindness within five years.

British researchers said on Wednesday they had successfully
grown in the laboratory a type of adult stem cell found in the
eyes of both fish and mammals that develops into neurons in the
retina.

In future, these cells could be injected into the eye as a
treatment for diseases such as macular degeneration, glaucoma
and diabetes-related blindness, according to Astrid Limb of
University College London's (UCL) Institute of Ophthalmology.

Damage to the retina -- the part of the eye that sends
messages to the brain -- is responsible for most cases of sight
loss.

"Our findings have enormous potential," Limb said. "It
could help in all diseases where the neurons are damaged, which
is basically nearly every disease of the eye."

Limb and her colleagues studied so-called Mueller glial
cells in the eyes of people aged from 18 months to 91 years and
found they were able to develop them into all types of neurons
found in the retina.

They were also able to grow them easily in the lab, they
reported in the journal Stem Cells.

The cells have already been tested in rats with diseased
retinas, where they successfully migrated into the retina and
took on the characteristics of the surrounding neurons. Now the
team is working on the same approach in humans.

"We very much hope that we could do autologous transplants
within five years," Limb told Reuters.

Autologous transplants, initially on a trial basis, will
involve manipulating cells and injecting them back into an
individual's own eye. Eventually, Limb hopes it will also be
possible to transfer the cells between different people.

"Because they are so easy to grow, we could make stem cell
banks and have cell lines available to the general population,
subject to typing as with blood transfusions," she said.

Just why zebrafish have an abundant supply of adult stem
cells to regenerate their retinas, while they are rare in
mammals, remains a mystery but Limb suspects it is because
mammals have a limiting system to stop proliferation.

The new work on Mueller glial cells is the latest example
of researchers exploring the potential of different kinds of
stem cells in treating eye disease. Another team from UCL and
Moorfield's Eye Hospital said in June they aimed to repair
damaged retinas with cells derived from embryonic stem cells.

Japan study finds coffee may prevent colon cancer

                        TOKYO (Reuters) -
Drinking three or more cups of coffee a
day may cut the risk of colon cancer in women by half,
according to a study by Japanese scientists.

Researchers from Tokyo's National Cancer Center studied
data from more than 96,000 men and women aged between 40-69
over a period of up to 12 years from 1990, a member of the team
said on Wednesday. They found no significant benefit in men.

Even after adjusting for other factors including diet and
exercise, they found that women who drank three or more cups of
coffee a day had half the risk of developing colon cancer,
compared with those who drank no coffee at all.

The researchers, whose findings have been published in the
International Journal of Cancer, did not find any link between
consumption of green tea and colon cancer.

"In Japan, almost all the male population drinks alcohol
and there are a large number of smokers," said Manami Inoue of
the research team. "There may be some benefit from coffee for
men, but it may be that we were unable to adjust for these
factors."

The mechanism by which coffee may prevent cancer is
unknown, Inoue said. The caffeine it contains could stimulate
the working of the colon, or the effect could be due to
coffee's antioxidant properties, she said.

"Some people cannot tolerate caffeine, so they should not
force themselves to drink coffee. But for people who like it,
there is no reason to give it up," Inoue said.
